Chili Con Carne - a taste explosion that takes me on a journey of gastronomic joy every time I cook it! 🌶️✨ This dish is like a symphony of flavors that dance over my taste buds and create an irresistible harmony of spices and lovely ingredients.

Starting with frying up golden onions in a lovely scent of rapeseed oil is like setting the tone for a culinary journey. Then when the finely ground meat hits the notes together with the paprika, chili and garlic, it's as if the kitchen is filled with a seductive melody. The spices – cumin, oregano, coriander and chilli – create a flavor palette that really tickles the taste buds and takes the dish to new heights.

But the highlight is when crushed tomatoes, kidney beans and a touch of cocoa join the game. It's like the flavors form a heavenly symphony that simmers under the lid and develops into a rich, nutty aroma of Chili Con Carne art.

When the lid is lifted and the scents are allowed to flow freely, it's like revealing the grand finale. I serve this masterpiece with fluffy rice, fresh lime, and crispy tortilla chips, a combination that really takes the taste experience to another level.

Chili Con Carne has become a big favorite with me and my guests. Every bite is like a taste journey and every meal is an adventure in itself. 🍽️ Ingredients:

⁃ 500g minced meat
⁃ Rapeseed oil for frying
⁃ 2 yellow onions, finely chopped
⁃ 1 red pepper
⁃ 1 green chili
⁃ 6 garlic cloves, finely chopped
⁃ 2 tsp cumin
⁃ 1 tablespoon dried oregano
⁃ 1 tsp coriander powder
⁃ 1 tablespoon chili powder
⁃ 2 tbsp tomato puree
⁃ 400g crushed tomatoes
⁃ 400g cooked kidney beans
⁃ About 4 dl of water
⁃ 1 teaspoon of cocoa
⁃ Salt and black pepper to taste

✨ How to cook:

🌶️ Heat oil in a pot, fry the onion until it turns colour.

🌶️ Add minced meat, paprika, chili and garlic. Fry and then add all the spices. The kitchen is filled with the lovely aroma of the spices being mixed together.

🌶️ Pour in crushed tomatoes, tomato puree, beans, water and cocoa. Bring to a boil and then simmer over medium heat, covered, for about 1 hour. Stir every now and then.

🌶️ Lift the lid and let it simmer for another 15-20 minutes.

🌶️ Taste and possibly season more. Serve with rice, finely chopped green onions, coriander, lime, a dollop of crème fraîche and tortilla chips for the perfect crunch.
